Houses: AG’S Team Approach

Alexander Graham Middle School has adopted the Team approach to teaching in the form of houses and interdisciplinary teams. Houses consist of students of all grade levels. An interdisciplinary team refers to a group of teachers from varying disciplines who come in contact with many of the same students throughout the school. This approach also enhances the child-centered goal of middle-level education by creating an environment that is conducive to learning. In addition, teaming enables teachers to communicate concerns more effectively.

Through our houses, healthy competition is promoted, as points are awarded for academic performance and the support of others.

All students will be “sorted” in one of the following houses. House Sorting Day will be on Friday, September 2, 2022.
