On May 26, 2020 the CMS Board of Education voted to revise the 2020-21 School Calendar to comply with state legislature, as a response to COVID-19, which mandates all schools in NC to open August 17 and include 5 remote learning days.
AG students will keep their Chromebooks over the summer, including 8th grade. We need your Chromebook returned (only) if you are withdrawing from CMS. We will be providing some resources for optional summer learning so that your child may be engaged and stay current with grade-level work. Our drop-off and pick-up days and times are during the week of June 8. We will have stations for drop-off and pick-up of items in the front of the school carpool line.
CMS has received guidance from the state regarding how to best grade and assess student performance for the remainder of the year. Following state requirements, students will have until June 9 to complete any remote work or assignments posted by teachers for quarter 4. Students are highly encouraged to complete remote learning work, which will be reflected on an End of Year Feedback Form.
Due to these crazy times, MP’s Student Government realizes that many new students are missing out on valuable opportunities to learn about Myers Park. As such, SGA has created a brand-new podcast series titled “The Park Podcast.”
Are you Interested in purchasing Myers Park Spiritwear for your future Mustang?? Myers Park Spiritwear has hats, dri-fit shirts, t-shirts, sweatshirts and other fun items that are not in the online store.
It is now time for your rising 7th or 8th grader to choose their electives for next year. AG is using a virtual format. Your child’s counselor has provided a video and instructions on elective registration in Google Classroom. Your child must watch the video before they complete the elective registration process.
